My Grown Up & Me

My Grown Up & Me is a class designed for parents with children 15 months to 35 months. The primary goal is to provide a healthy environment where parents can dedicate quality time to their babies while also strengthening their bodies. The exercises are designed to stimulate and support the baby’s autonomy and independence. This class fosters a bond and a channel of communication between parent and child through a universal language, dance.

Baby Dance

Baby Dance is tailored for young dancers ages 3 to 5. This class offers an introduction to the fundamentals of rhythm, musicality, and freestyle movement. Students will explore age-appropriate routines while developing coordination, strength, and personal style. The 45-minute sessions are interactive and imaginative, using kid friendly beats and creative exercises. Props, stories, and creative games enhance engagement and spark imagination.

Combo Dance

Combo Dance is an energetic combo class that introduces children ages 3-5 to the exciting rhythms of tap and the expressive style of jazz. Our Rise Littles will build coordination, musicality, and confidence through playful movement, upbeat music, and creative exploration. This 45-minute class is perfect for tiny toes with big energy!

Ballet

At our Houston, Texas dance studio, our comprehensive ballet program guides students through a complete journey of classical technique and artistic expression, starting with the fundamental basics of posture, alignment, and terminology. Early training utilizes imaginative play, props, and storytelling to foster body awareness, joint flexibility, and motor coordination. As students progress, classes become more structured—incorporating floorwork, barre, center work, and allegro—to develop a conscious understanding of turnout (en dehors), precise leg lines, and controlled breathing, leading to the memorization and performance of at least 25 classical steps. Training then advances to basic leg positions in relevé, turning techniques, and the essential coordination of the arms, legs, and head, all accompanied by classical music to build deep rhythm and musicality. This strong foundation prepares dancers for the magical milestone of introductory pointe work, which eventually evolves into demanding classical variations and basic pas de deux. Ultimately, our program refines physical endurance, interpretative skills, and mastery of vocabulary, empowering dancers to confidently execute complex turns—such as fouettés and double or triple pirouettes—and advanced grand jumps with elegance, strength, and virtuosity.

Tap

Our tap program offers a fun and lively progression that introduces dancers to the art of creating rhythm with their feet. Beginning in a joyful and supportive environment, students explore playful movement games while coordinating simple steps like toe taps, heel drops, and shuffles. As they develop, the training expands into foundational technique and terminology, focusing on clarity of sound, rhythmic accuracy, and balance through steps like flaps, cramp rolls, and basic time steps. Dancers then progress to more intricate rhythms, speed changes, and complex combinations—mastering dynamics, syncopation, and articulation with pullbacks, drawbacks, and faster time steps. Ultimately, the program challenges students with fast tempos, advanced footwork, and rhythm layering, empowering them to explore improvisation and create complex musical phrases. Throughout this journey, dancers build precision, stage presence, and deep musical interpretation, ready to bring character and energy to every performance.

Jazz

Our energetic and fun-filled jazz program introduces dancers to the vibrant elements of the style, starting with basic isolations, simple footwork, and rhythm exercises. Through engaging games, storytelling, and upbeat music, students develop early coordination, expression, and a joy for movement that lays the foundation for more structured training. As dancers advance, they explore foundational techniques such as pliés, tendus, jazz walks, and simple turns and jumps. This stage builds flexibility, strength, and spatial awareness while introducing short choreographed combinations to enhance memory and timing. The curriculum then gradually increases in complexity, focusing on extension, dynamics, and stylization. Dancers tackle longer sequences and refine their transitions and movement clarity, exploring the art of performance through facial expression and storytelling. Ultimately, the program challenges students with intricate choreography, faster tempos, and advanced technical work. By mastering complex leaps, turns, dynamic isolations, and floor work, dancers cultivate the control, versatility, and commanding stage presence needed to confidently shine in formal showcases.

Hip-Hop

Our hip-hop program is designed to establish a strong technical base, introducing dancers to fundamental grooves, footwork, isolations, and freestyle. As students develop body awareness and rhythm through dynamic drills, they begin memorizing and performing multiple combinations that encourage early creativity. The curriculum then focuses on refining technique and expanding vocabulary through coordination challenges, introductory popping, and complex routines. Musicality, expression, and confidence become central, with partner work and group exercises fostering teamwork and allowing students to perform with attitude and precision. Ultimately, dancers take their skills to the next level by mastering advanced choreography, intense movement sequences, and specialized styles such as locking, popping, and house. This comprehensive progression builds stamina and hones freestyle development, ensuring students achieve the control and commanding stage presence needed to stand out in every performance.
